Cyprus Property for Sale

Exclusive Resale Properties in Paphos

Marketing Myself, My Cyprus Business and Your Cyprus Properties

I am always working on marketing, promoting Cyprus Marketing Solutions, Cyprus101 website, ourselves and of course all of the great Cyprus properties for sale that we have listed. This task is not an easy one. I would say that it’s very difficult to get people to find you in between the thousands of other choices. It is a never-ending and constantly evolving field. An element that even makes it more difficult is the ability to measure the efforts or the lack of it. As new technology is introduced, so are new methods and tools at your disposal. The trick is to find them and then make them work in order to be successful.

I have been selling Cyprus property for 3 years now and I would say that I came into the business at the end of it’s peak and the worst time to enter. I would also say that selling property on an island to people from a country that is four hours or more away by plane is not an easy thing to do, especially with never having been there.

I was told once that I need to stop joining so many Internet social sites. The person said that when I invited them to join Twitter. I was shocked because it came from who I thought was a web-savvy blogger with a lot of general knowledge about marketing. I realized that for me the internet was more than just emails and socializing or keeping up with the sports or whatever non-marketing people enjoys.  For me, I have to constantly crawl the web and join all networks such as: Facebook, Linkedin, Digg, Stumbleupon, Sphinn, Technorati, Stumbleupon and many, many more, hoping to find the next best thing to get exposure before my competition does. It is my job to look for the benefit each site shows for my efforts and whether to continue to be a member and learn more about their offers and system or just ditch them all together.

There are some that are more easily accessible than others and some that are just a pain to navigate. For example this post was inspired by Technorati who in order for them to verify that I am the author of this blog I must place a code within a recent post. The code is FPPGR5CCRBWA and once this post is published I will click on a button in my account to inform them so they can verify it and then my blog will be a part of their web and I hopefully will get some love from their robots as well as the other bloggers out their. It’s things like this and many more that I work on and then finally try to gage the results.

I have found that even with all the new technolgy and changes, one principal remains timeless and that is that you will only get out of something what you put into it.  My passion for what I do will drive me forward to reaching my goal. At least for now it seems that I must be on the right track because business is good!

Cyprus Property Market – Is it Stabilizing? Is it the Time to Buy?

Have you been wanting to buy a property in Cyprus? If you have been waiting for the prices to bottom out before jumping in and getting yours, then I dare say that it’s time. Sure there may be a bit more to go in some areas or with some sellers who are still overpriced but these properties will not sell, not for the prices being asked. There are many more properties that are good prices and despite what happens in the housing market in Cyprus or globally they will not drop any further.
Cyprus is a special place in many different ways. One of the ways is the overall general population are very well off. With a population of less than 1 million, many Cypriot families owned land and have sold some or developed some to turn a profit selling to expatriates retiring or looking for holiday homes. Many of these properties were bought by well off individuals who can afford to relocate and in many cases still own another property or two somewhere. Both the Cypriots and the foreigner’s are in most cases  not desperate to sell because they don’t really have to. The drop in prices are not necessarily a desperate move on their part but an adjustment to what they came to realize as a step involved with any market, it has it’s up and it’s downs. With the way prices skyrocketed in the first half of the decade, it is understandable that this balance must occur…what goes up must come down.
Four years ago many people complained that the young families could not afford to buy a property, prices were reaching outrageous levels and only the rich could buy. I heard many stories about how many were never going to be able to buy, especially if your family had no more land to sell or if you were without family support.
The recent slump of the housing market is the great equalizer of our time. It is a lesson that teaches to never say never and if you pay close attention you walk away with a very valuable lesson that can be worth much more than what you may have lost. There are many sellers today that bought at the wrong time, at the peak of the market and those people are taking a loss. There are buyers now that are getting back into the market, who made money during the boom years and got out in time to cash in. Now they know it’s a good time to get back in and these are some of the clients I come across now.
I learn a lot from my clients working in the Cyprus property market. The job gives me the opportunity to meet many well educated people that come from many backgrounds and have so much knowledge that it is always great when you meet someone with an understanding and wants to share their perspective on the market, Cyprus or life in general.  The overall general consensus is that we are nearing the end of the price crash and things will be slowly but surely stabilize and some even think it is possible by the next season. This is something that I agree with. Share your thoughts on the Cyprus property market, we’d love to hear your opinions and value our readers feedback.

Driving in Cyprus – More Fatalities Remind us to be on Alert at All Times While Driving

Paphos has seen its fourth fatality in the last week (between May 23, 09 – June 2 09), and the eighth since the beginning of the year. Last Saturday, a 13-year-old student from the American Academy School died after the motorbike he was a passenger on veered off the Mandria – Yeroskipou Road. This death could have been easily prevented had he been wearing a helmet – sadly, he was not. Strict and hefty fines need to be enforced for these sorts of offenses so that we can save our young who are the main culprits and fatalities when there are accidents of this nature. No seatbelts, no helmets, driving under the influence and speed need to be seriously addressed so we don’t have to see another families heart break at the loss of a young life! Cyprus Property Market -Waiting For The Bottom?

I read that many property buyers are waiting for home prices to hit bottom before jumping in and purchasing a property.

If that is what you are doing and you are looking to buy a property in Cyprus, I will tell you why waiting is not a good idea.

First and probably most importantly is that many properties are being taken off the market and are no longer for sale. The owners have decided to wait and keep their properties until the market improves. They are either renting them out or, they will continue using them as holiday homes for themselves and families.

Second, most property owners in Cyprus are on the wealthier part of the world global population and are capable of not doing anything with these properties and never reach a point of losing their properties. As a matter of fact many properties are all paid for. They will not be effected like most owners around the world.

The majority of the sellers here are either developers, builders or families with more than one property. If you want to get a good price or a great deal, then you need to start looking now and be prepared to move forward if you find the property you are looking for.
